I can also stay with Jenny and Luke in Tawa, so I'm pretty much sorted for the first week or so. If you haven't got anyone to cat-sit, I'd still be happy to do it.
Pretty much everyone is all about the couches, but that's fine. I'd rather crash on someone's couch than hit the hostels, which is the other alternative. Geeh!
The cold and fog seems to have eased off a bit, thank goodness. So now I'm watching the sun come up over the hill over the valley. Of course, I OUGHT to be getting dressed to go to work, but what the hell?
