Even less fit than I thought. Damn.

I mean, I was well aware that I'm pretty unhealthy, but I went for a swim tonight and managed all of 15 minutes in the pool before having to call it. My arms were sore after about 4 lengths. Suck. I'm going to have to keep doing this.

In other news, on Monday I got to attend the big launch event I've been working my arse off for. It rules. The classroom type stuff was all stand up and interactive with plenty of scope for larking about a bit, and the drive sessions were cool fun. The new Mazda 2 is 200kg lighter and that baby can move. Got driven around a test track in an MX5 by a professional driver - I think she might have been related to the Stig. Then we got to drive the Mazda 6 and the RX8 around Millbrook's hill track (which is where they filmed the famous Aston Marton roll in the last James Bond film). I actually like the Mazda 6 better to drive, although that might have been because my boss was in the back seat when I was driving the RX8. No pressure!

Now I have to bully sales people onto what is basically an intro level course, which they have to do, even if they don't really need it. Can you guess how well that's going?

You seem to have some cool perks. I get... lots of time to blog?

Lame about the swimming. I've only been swimming once here. It is really expensive compared to NZ.

I think that was pretty much the end of my perks. Now I have to go back to hotel contracts (booking our own venues seemed like such a good idea at the time), and trying to coax and bully people on to courses they don't want to do. Plus working out what my boss has been doing with a load of other smaller projects while I have been distracted. Goodness knows what sort of state they're in!

It costs £3.50 to use the pool at Bath. And it's a fairly rubbish pool, too. I really hate trying to swim in a pool with an end that is 90cm deep. I always worry about my knuckles. Oh, how I miss Kilbirnie Pool.

Hey, would you be up for a couple of visitors in late August?

I sure would, I love visitors!

Let me know when you're thinking of and what you want to do while you're here.

We're planning to fly to Edinburgh around the 18 of August, stay there until the weekend, hire a car, drive around for a couple of weeks ending up in London.

I *really* want to visit the costume museum! Otherwise, I have no idea what else there is in Bath.

Sorry about the slow reply, my brain pretty much ground to a halt.

I am planning to be away from 28 August to 1 September. Are you able to come down either the weekend before or after?

Bath mainly has history stuff - Roman Baths, Jane Austen stuff, Georgian stuff. Not sure how excited you are about such things.

This post has been brought to you by the word "stuff".

Possibly the weekend after. The weekend before we shall be in Edinburgh :) I shall talk to the lad and look at a big map of UK and figure out where/when we want to be places.

Really? I thought it might be someone else planning to visit me on the sly. :o)

Let me know how it goes.
