Two Pics of the Day

The weather cleared today, and it was cold but sunny. Lunchtime saw me wandering down to the park to see what spring was bringing. Surprisingly little for the most part, but I did find a large patch of crocusses (unless someone tells me otherwise).

So today's offerings are:

Pretty! It's all springy like:)

Yeah, it's quite cheery when it's sunny. Bloody cold still, though! :o)

Yay! I love spring flowers :)

They are so pretty and bright!

Pretty! I'm loving the blue sky day today but I did have to defrost my bicycle before I could sit on it this morning!

Oh exciting, I just bought a new camera so I will finally be able (with a bit of practice) to take some better pics and now I won't have to rely on you to take all the low light ones for me! All I need now is the memory card (silly me, why didn't I order it when I ordered the camera????!!!)

It has clouded over horribly here. :o( We also had a helluva frost last night, though.

What camera did you get?! It is just as well not to rely on my camera for low light shots - it does not cope very well. Now the responsibility will be all yours!

Amazon Marketplace sells 1G mem cards for £1 plus £7 postage, which seems ridonkulous but is still cheaper than buying them elsewhere. (Assuming you need an SD card, which actually I don't know why I assumed that. Sigh.)

It's a Panasonic Lumix FZ28 - I'm sure once I figure out exactly what it does do it'll be great :-) Am off to Croatia at the end of March and I really wanted to get a new camera before then so decided to treat myself. Thanks for the tip re the SD cards, will look them up!

Ooooh, shiny!

Where are you going in Croatia? How long for?

[identity profile] tiapia.livejournal.com 2009-03-06 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Two whole weeks, well almost, I have three days in Slovenia (Ljubljana and Bled) before crossing the border to Zagreb. I know it's not nearly enough time to see Croatia but it'll have to do - will be an action packed tow weeks that's for sure. You'll have to let me know any recommendations you may have - I know you said you really enjoyed your time there!

OOh Croatia! That's on my plan for next year's trip:)

[identity profile] tiapia.livejournal.com 2009-03-06 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Meant to add the plan is Zagreb, Zadar, Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik :-)

[identity profile] debitha.livejournal.com 2009-03-07 10:55 am (UTC)(link)
I found Zadar wasn't all that good. There's some interesting stuff, but I didn't feel it, if you know what I mean. Zagreb is quite neat, but I think fairly standard "City of the Austro-Hungarian Empire". I loved Split and Hvar. I thought Dubrovnik was weird, but would be really interested to see what you make of it. :o)
