I just downloaded the nearly 1200 pictures I took in Greece. That's nearly 120 photos a day. Er, oops?

Anyway, here's one that leapt out at me as I was scanning through them. Sunset on Santorini.

Oh yeah. Thats one of those pics that if you were in a shop or something that has a photoboard of various photos, you'd simply stop and look at that photograph for a while.

120 a day is not unrealistic or too much when you are in a place like Greece. However. Uh *coughs* have fun uploading them all :)

I did some scribbling while I was away, so I need to type that up (was going to do it at lunchtime today, but ended up having lunch in the park with a friend instead) and go from there. I will totally need some beta action. And possibly a chat about what I am doing in the scene where Clem meets Jack.

Bits are typed up, and just working on tying them in. I'm mostly on the final run toward the end!

Work is fine. L is away till Tuesday and my last day is Wednesday. Woo! I ended up with 2 days leave left to take, which will be really handy for getting sorted for NZ.

Awesome! You had us going in the last few scenes. ON rereading it at some point when you were away, and I came to the end I was like "ugh! I want more!"

This Wednesday or next Wednesday? And yes, two days extra will help with sorting out for a three week trip to the other side of the world :)

Yes! But only briefly! I am off to NZ next Saturday and will be back mid-July.

In the meantime I have a fic that is 6 weeks overdue, so I'm afraid you'll have to deal with JK on your own - don't worry, she's a softy, really. ;o)

Just remember what I said. Big, fluffy but grizzly with claws kitten, with pink stripes. When you apply that to the words said, it somehow helps :)

I may have gone a little nuts in the National Archaeology Museum. >_> It skews the numbers. So really, it was all perfectly reasonable! Lalala!

Hey, I had a fab time, thank you!

I don't actually edit them at all, except maybe the occasional crop or straightening up - I wouldn't know what to do with photoshop if it presented itself to me. But I'm so far behind with the uploading. I think I'm nearly a year behind now! I'm taking my laptop to NZ with me. Maybe I can get some uploading done on airport wi-fi or something.

There are a bunch of actions you can use to do some basic adjustments to photos which are just clicking a button but Photoshop is huge and eats your ram.

I found a batch editor last time. I came back from Sydney with 800 photos from a day shooting family photos for someone.
I ran them all through the batch editor and only played about with about 40 myself.

It's so time consuming though.

All the photos I put up on flickr are small versions because I just don't have the bandwidth to do it. I don't have a paid flickr yet either but even if I did our uploads count in our monthly 12 gig and it only lasts two weeks of the month as it is. I'm so sick of being on dial up speed.

I don't really understand editing enough to not have my pictures go weird when I try and do things to them, so I decided that I would just let them stand alone since they are mostly for me anyway.

The uploading alone is so time consuming. I've kind of given up on titles for now. I will try and get the photos up and worry about the niceties later.

Capped dial up speed internet. EPIC SUCK.
