A diary of pain
Jan. 16th, 2007 09:11 pmClimbing happened on Sunday instead of Saturday. I haven't been in about a year. I got back into the technique of it pretty quickly. But alas, my poor muscles. On Sunday evening my arms and legs were a bit sore. On Monday my forearms and biceps were sore. And then there was Tuesday. Ahhh, Tuesday. As I walked down the hill, I realised the muscles in my right foot hurt. Throughout the day I noticed shiny new aches and pains. The tendon all the way up my right leg. My glutes. My lats (I think they're lats - the ones down my side). My abs. (On the plus side of that - I have abs! Who knew?!) And always, the arms and shoulders.
I am seriously hoping I feel less shitty tomorrow, as we have a client coming in. Should be fun, he's one of my favourite clients. He's Italian. I think in Buffy or Angel there's a Spike/Drusilla flashback with a 5 minute dialogue that goes, "Ciao. Ciao. Ciao...". That's us. Ciao ciao. This should be hilarious.
I have already said I will climb again at the weekend. I feel I ought to get bonus points for that really.
On Saturday I made cookies. They were good cookies. Which is impressive, since I can't really bake. It tends not to work out too well. But my chocolate chip cookies were tasty. I may have to have another go this weekend.
Has anyone else read the Harry Dresden books, by Jim Butcher? They are well good.
Sleep now.
