You know it's been too long since you've been in your garden when...

... You are assaulted by large and elaborate spider webs from arachnids left too long undisturbed.
... You have to lift the flymo and let it down over the grass.
... The grass kills the flymo.
... The bottom of the pile of weeds and clippings from your last gardening binge is actually compost.

And don't even ask about the creepers.

Oh dear!

Edit: OK, I know it's been wet around here for about a month, but there are FROGS in my garden. What the hell?

Eehee frogs.

Your first list, it starts off reading rather like a choose-your-own-adventure book :).

There was HUGE banging thunder this morning OMG.

or

E) All of the above. Plus frogs!

That was really very random.

At last, to be having better weather than you. In August. Shame about May through July. Sigh.

Heh I was gonna say something about at least you hadn't left it so long that the arachnids had inter-bred with the frogs to create some kind of slimy jumpy 8 legged creatures but then I grossed myself out and had to stop;p

Oh god, there's a whole section of ivy and brambles and creeper down the end which was ALREADY INTIMIDATING ENOUGH without having to watch out for the SPIDERFROGS! Thank you very much!

:oP

I found this, and it is so crazy cute:

Stealing Harry :-). It made me go "ee!" And I had to show someone. And you'll actually know who it is!

Snake! And Frog! Yay!

I think there are some icons based on this around somewhere. Possibly linked in Sam's actual blog [personal profile] copperbadge.

I am re-reading all of it in the hope that he'll have finished LC Year 3 by the time I'm done. I can't cope with the whole in installments thing. I find the pace just goes out the window.

I usually manage to surprise myself with how much I remember when I go back to WIP fics, but it's still pretty unsettling. And then there is the UNUTTERABLE FRUSTRATION of fics that get abandoned...

I just can't read in installments. I haven't read the last couple of chapters of LC3, because I'm waiting for it to be finished. I found that I was actually bored, and I KNOW that the story is not boring, but the pace was gone.

I fear for Quality of Mercy. She has said that there will be more, but she also said it was originally intended to be abandoned after 4 chapters. *fear* *want*

*joins in the fearing and wanting*

She's not written anything in aaaages! *ANYTHING*! The last thing was The Way We Get By (which I should really re-read so I can read the last part). Woes. DDG is fun n' stuff.

DDG and The Way We Get By are fab, and I want more of that too. In fairness it seems that she deals with crappiness in her life by writing fic, so maybe she's just having a nice life right now.

I'm trying to be generous, and not wish fic-inducing trauma on her. At least Sam has a new story, which is shaping up to be fun.
