Hello. This is my shiny new blog.
This is what I am doing today, instead of packing my house up for moving next weekend. Because I really hate packing. Really. Hate it. Really. So I'm doing something else instead. Because that's always a good plan. Oh well. It'll be fine. It'll all be fine.
So hopefully someone will come and talk to me soon, because at the moment I'm just sitting here, talking to myself. Come say hello.

Date: 2006-10-02 06:01 pm (UTC)I am very sad to be leaving my little cottage, because it's just so damn cute, but I really can't afford it at the moment. :o(
It will be good though. We're moving into a 3 bed (read 2.5 bed) semi-detached house. With a shower, which is VERY exciting. Well, for me it is. I've been having baths for 3 and half years. Showers are a big deal for me. New place has garden, too, which is not going to be terribly useful over winter, but will be great next summer.
Hopefully all will be well. How's the flatmate hunt going?

Date: 2006-10-02 07:36 pm (UTC)hm. I'm not entirely sure how well that quote works in paraphrase. In fact we have a shower and a bath. Mwahahah.
6 weeks! I'm delighted, cos we're out of town the weekend of Teh Wedding and I was concerned I might miss seeing you. What are the dates you're arriving/leaving?

Date: 2006-10-04 08:52 pm (UTC)I get into Wellington on Saturday 18th November. I'll be in Wellington for the week prior to Le Grande Nuptials. I'm heading up to the Coromandel for week at the beginning of December with Mum, and home for Christmas, then out again on 27th. So there's a couple of weeks in there in which to just chill out. I'm definitely forseeing some quality beach time. Although, having just seen a picture of me from the back in my swimsuit, I'm considering rethinking that. Not exactly sylph-like, if you know what I mean. Then again, I can't see it so I guess it needn't bother me. That's a much better plan.
Goodness, I'm waffling on again. I will go look at some other people's ljs for a bit.
