Visual Overload

For the last couple of years I have made up calenders using pictures I have taken through the year. It's always hard to pick just 13 (12 months and the cover), but this year it is insane.
I have finally finished going through all the pictures from this year, and now have a shortlist of 117. Yes, yes, I know. Shortlists, by definition, should really not be in the hundreds. But seriously, I can't even tell you how many photos I have looked at this evening. Fortunately I am limited by format - they really have to be landscape shots, so I skip straight past the portrait ones. (Even though some of them are really cool.
So, tomorrow I will go through and weed out the ones that I like, but which are not sufficiently awesome to make the next round.
But now I sleep, because that's taken a good 4 hours, and I'm knackered.
Night!

Date: 2009-12-14 11:42 pm (UTC)My brother in law had EXACTLY the same idea that year! Though he chose a different method - I had to get prints and stick them onto a blank calendar myself, he had them printed directly onto one. His photos were all of things the family had done over the year, though.
