'Tis the Season

Stuffy sinuses, scratchy throat, sneezing, random temperature fluctuations... IT MUST BE CHRISTMAS!
I worked from home today. Possibly I could have got down off my hill safely, but I was too chicken to try. The possible consequences of it going horribly wrong were to unpleasant to contemplate.
"What's the problem?" I hear you ask. "You drive down that hill every day."
That is true. The thing is though, that my road doesn't usually look like this.

That was just before 8 o'clock this morning. The main road is a long way down, kids.
And here's my back garden at about 7. Just because.

Date: 2009-12-21 07:27 pm (UTC)That's not even the really steep bit. There's another road at the bottom that goes straight down. Except for the bits where it bends, just to make sure you're paying attention.

Date: 2009-12-22 07:05 am (UTC)We left England when I was 6 so I learnt to drive in Newcastle, Aus. I think we've only had ice on the road a few times. Plenty of water, gravel, roos, rabbits etc but not snow.
I don't blame you for not wanting to drive.
